I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded the Microsoft MVP status once again – this time in the Security category, with a focus on Cloud Security. This recognition feels particularly meaningful as it marks a full-circle moment in my professional journey.
The Journey So Far
My first stint as an MVP ran from 2018 to 2021 in the Office Apps & Services category. Those years were formative, connecting me with an incredible community of experts and giving me opportunities to share knowledge, speak at events, and contribute to the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
In 2021, I had the privilege of joining Microsoft directly. My four years there provided an inside perspective on how the products and services I’d been advocating for actually come to life. Working at Microsoft deepened my technical expertise and gave me invaluable insights into enterprise security challenges at scale.
A New Chapter
Since leaving Microsoft, I’ve returned to consulting with a sharpened focus on cybersecurity. The landscape has evolved dramatically – cloud security is no longer just a checkbox in an IT strategy, it’s the foundation of modern business resilience. Every day brings new challenges: securing hybrid environments, managing identity and access at scale, navigating compliance requirements, and staying ahead of increasingly sophisticated threats.
Receiving the MVP award in Security validates the work I’ve been doing in this space, but more importantly, it reconnects me with a community that thrives on collaboration and shared learning. The MVP program has always been about more than individual recognition – it’s about contributing to a collective knowledge base that helps everyone build more secure environments.
Looking Ahead
I’m excited to engage more deeply with the security community in this new capacity. My goal is to bridge the gap between complex security concepts and practical implementation, particularly around cloud security in Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
I’ll be sharing more content on topics like Zero Trust implementation, securing cloud workloads, identity protection strategies, and navigating the evolving threat landscape. I’m also looking forward to connecting with fellow MVPs and community members at events and online.
To everyone who has been part of my journey – thank you. And to those I haven’t met yet, I look forward to learning together.
Here’s to building a more secure cloud ecosystem, one insight at a time.
